CORRECTION: Super License points are not awarded from race finishes, but on how a driver finishes the season. For example if you finish the Formula 2 championship in 1st-3rd, you'll earn 40 points, 4th earns 30 points, 5th earns 20 and so on. You cannot do it in a single race weekend like I said. Apologies for the error. - Nolan

If you win F2 and F3, you're no longer allowed to remain the the series. When Lando Norris won F3 in 2017, he's automatically qualified to be in F1, but he can no longer stay in F3. He came in second in F2 2018 to George Russel, who became ineligible to race in F2 anymore.

@Big Joe S. You also forgot to mention he came 2nd in gp3, in 2018,which I think would have also allowed him to gain superlicense points as this still fell within the 3 year period

You got it all wrong mate, Lewis Hamilton, Daniel Riccardo and a few other racers WEREN'T rich. They had no financial backing, watch F1 Drive to Survive, one of the racers mention they were so poor they lived in their garage or in a garage. So if someone from that background can be an F1 driver, anyone with the right mindset and determination, skill + sponsorship can get in Formula Racing, you don't have to be rich. Soooo, I'm gonna take everything YOU just said and toss it out the window since it's all wrong and listen to what is true and what the actual racers themselves say. After Lewis won his 7th title he said "That's for all the kids out there, who dream the impossible, you can do it to, I believe in you guys!" Soooo, everything you said there is deemed irrelevant. Yeah, you can buy your way in, but those who can't? You can still get in with other ways, there isn't one way to get into things, we are living in a world where we can access financial backing through loans, or sponsorships, or heck even a go fundme, start a charity so you can get it why not. There is no shame, if you really want to be something, you would do anything to get in rather than looking the other way, that's dumb and to say "You need to be rich" or "Have the money" like there isn't any other way, is dumb. Someone who would wanna be an F1 racer might see this and have their hopes and dreams crushed only for someone else with facts, real facts to say otherwise and to find out other racers also been in the same financial background as them.

Even by his co-driver in team - son of famous Schumacher ("Red Baron" or "Red Dragon" of F1). And russian casters trying to hide it or ignore it (Only saying like some sort of "Yay! Our Russian driver in F1! GO RUSSIA!" (Forgetting about Kvyat or even Petrov - who is actually trying to prove their professionalism in F1 and was better drivers than him) 6)Whole his existence - in example why rented drivers (Rent-A-Driver) thing is a bad thing and actually killing motorsport. Even other bad examples - like that rich kid from India (in Force India Team) and kid from South America - actually trying to learn from their mistakes... Mazepin? OFC, F...ck no! He still drive like a ignorant idiot and ram even (like i said up here in text_) his own team member driver! P.S. As for Americans (Especially bcs - Donut Media - is USA youtube car channel) - yes, he (and his father) maybe save your precious American team in F1 (Yes, HAAS Racing was made by NASCAR guy from same named NASCAR team) - but what cost?

to conclude this klickbait title ---- YOU CAN NOT BUY YOUR WAY INTO F1 !!! on the whole planet there are around 50 ppl eligable for a FIA Super Licence. 20 have a seat. ~10 drove f1 at some point/test drivers. ~10 are the best youngsters in "juniors"/"lower catagories" atm.[which are all super competetive and awesome!] AND ~5-10 do not want to drive f1 because they rule their chosen classes. So for Mr. Mazepin one can only say: He did earn his Super Licence so he deserves his chance try his best! Buying yourself into F1 IS NO MORE! Everybody has Talent and BigSponsorMoney for himself!

Well, although you are absolutely correct on saying that a lot of money is needed to reach a F1 driver seat, it is not the way you depicted that concerning rich drivers. I mean, of course you need a lot of self funding way up F3 maybe, but after that most drivers need to find sponsors, and unless you have a government country (like was with Maldonado) backing you, you probably will need to prove your talent to find some company crazy enough to put money in motorsports and help you through F3 and F2. Of course it is still a lot of money to make it through junior classes, but just calling all of them “pay drivers” don’t tell all the story.

Mazepin is nothing new. F1 has allways been a major money game, and almost every driver ( hamilton is the rarity for coming from such modest family backing) has to bring multimillions to the team to get their seats. And nonmanufacturer teams have allways been able to enter f1 if they can meet the FIA and FOM financial minimums. Its been this way from its outset, but got crazy during the modern era, from the early 90's. A team is going to cost you at least 200million a year, not including drivers pay, to be on the grid, but uncompetative, like Hass
